The markets our products serve range from the cost sensitive small workgroup market to the high performance and feature rich systems demanded by large multinational corporations. While ApplianceWare incorporates advanced technology developed in the open source community, we go beyond this level with proprietary architecture that maximizes NAS performance and reliability. By incorporating applicable open source developments into our product, ApplianceWare has been able to focus its resources on developing the proprietary technologies that create an extremely stable, high performance, NAS specific solution for OEMs, Systems Integrators, and VARs. ApplianceWare provides NAS software solutions that are demonstrably superior in price and performance than those of our competitors. ApplianceWare powered entry level solutions offer substantially more features, performance, and functionality than the competitive products offered by companies such as Quantum and Maxtor. In addition, our more advanced software solutions offer competitive performance and features to high-end products offered by companies such as EMC and Network Appliance but at substantially less cost.
